Drawing from my long academic and other related practical experience, my aspiration is to prepare students to become committed to excellence in research, teaching and service. Holding a PhD in Economics and having an extensive experience in applied and political economics at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, I believe I have the credentials to achieve this goal.Further to my wide-ranging undergraduate and graduate teaching experience, both in Cyprus and abroad, I have extensive experience in the supervision of student research assignments in capstone courses, Master’s Theses and of PHD dissertations. My scholarly publications, book writing, as well as my IMF related research and political economy work globally and in particular in the Middle East region, will serve me well in my endeavour to contribute to providing advice to free minded students and professionals to excel.
